As part of my plan to lose a few pounds I am blogging my daily food diary to help keep me accountable and share my ideas on vegan eating. This has helped me in my weight loss and so far I have managed to lose some each week.
Breakfast - warm oats with mixed spice, raisins and desiccated coconut
Mid morning snack - none
Lunch - sandwich - beetroot and poppyseed bread with dairy free cream cheese. This bread which I got from a local farmshop, looks like cherry cake!!!
Mid afternoon snack - homemade chocolate square
Evening Meal - leftover lentil and nut roast with roasted veg, mash potato and a bit of veggie gravy and a homemade chocolate square
Supper snack - Jam drink - This is something i have been doing since I was a child. When you get to the end of your jam or fruit spread in my case as I now buy the apple juice sweetened fruit spread rather than sugar sweetened jam, you add water (hot or cold) to your jam jar to dissolve all the bits and flavour the water. Then drink. I like to use every bit up. I do this with nut butter jars when i'm making cous cous and use the flavoured water to cook it with.
Water and homemade lavender lemonade throughout the day
Exercise - 1 hour manually cutting the lawn and strimming.
