Chocolate bags and bars!

This article shows the wide range of chocolate bags and bars available
from both supermarkets, local shops and online.

I have also include companies that are controversial, but as they do vegan chocolate I have decided after much debate to include them.
People can and will of course still boycott certain companies as I do myself.

1860 PERNIGOTTI

ALDI

seasonal hearts, found around xmas and valentines day

Some people keep telling me this plain chocolate now contains milk. I have been checking every month for the last 6 months and we still have stock without milk in my store. This picture was taken on 31/3/16. I also checked in another store on the 1/4/16 and that was also vegan. As this is the new packaging and as far as I can tell our stores doesn't have a slow turnover, I can only guess that some got printed wrong and it has now been corrected.

AMANDA'S KITCHEN

BOOTHS

BOURNVILLE
Available in 60g, 100g and 200g bars.
There is confusion over the labelling as they have chosen to put that it contains milk and then say it doesn't. After lots of enquiries and complaints they have had a label change at the end of 2014 to say 'may contain traces of milk'. It could take up to a year to see the new label on all bars. So far I have seen it on large bars, but not on small. Very much like what Green and Blacks did and then had the sense to change the labelling. Of course if your allergic to milk, you would avoid, as you would all chocolate that isn't produced in a vegan factory.

    1. The old packets said it contained milk even though it wasn't an ingredients. So due to the confusion and complains and probably they saw theres sales drop too they have recently changed packaging to say the usual sort of allergy warning, such as 'may contain traces of...' Some old ones will still be in shops for a few months i imagine. But there wasn't milk listed in the ingredients, even when it said contains milk. Hope this helps.
